You might find that the setting you use most often for printing is not the default setting. This includes options such as one-sided or two-sided printing and colour or black and white printing. You might want to change the default printing settings to save to the options you use most often. The following steps will show you how to do it.
- Open the Start Menu and look for Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the device that you want to change the default.
- Then click Printer Properties.
- Select on the Advanced tab.
- Click on the Default Printing button.
- You will see a window that is exactly like your Printing Preferences window. But this will adjust the default printing preferences.
- Make your changes. Then click OK or Apply to save changes.
Some of the most frequently changed settings are one-sided or two-sided printing and colour printing or black and white. One or two-sided printing is under the Basic Settings tab for the Canon system or the Printing Options tab for the Xerox system. The Color Mode is under the Basic Settings tab for the Canon system or the Image Options tab for the Xerox system.
